Healthy Dragon Fruit Hibiscus Iced Tea For Summer Time

Iced Hibiscus Tea

If your looking for a healthy tea for summertime, look no further! This iced tea is packed with lots of antioxidants and contains detoxing properties.

 

PREP TIME: 10 mins

COOK TIME: 25 mins

TOTAL TIME: 35 mins

YIELDS: 2 quarts

Ingredients:

8 cups of water
3/4 to 1 cup sugar (depending on how sweet you would like it to be)
1 cup dried hibiscus flowers
1/2 cinnamon stick or 1 tsp of cinnamon powder (optional)
Frozen berries (optional)
Lime juice (optional)
1/4 cup of Dragon Fruit
Dragon Fruit or lime slices for garnish

Directions:

Put 4 cups of the water and the sugar in a medium saucepan. Add cinnamon and/or mashed dragon fruit. Heat until boiling and the sugar has dissolved.

Remove from heat. Stir in the dried hibiscus flowers. Cover and let sit for 20 minutes.

Strain into a pitcher and add the remaining 4 cups of water. Store in the fridge to chill faster.

After the chilling process, add ice and/or frozen berries, lime juice and garnish with dragon fruit.
